WHILST LISTENING

well, students now I have a descriptive text about someone's ideal woman, read this text.

I am a male, and will gladly answer your request ! I desire a woman, who cares for other people, who is receptive of my love for her, who forgives, who loves life to the nth degree. I love a woman who I can give to. I love a woman who can look beyond this present world's woes and has hope for a better time yet to come in the future. I love a woman who is not "religious" but is spiritual in her approach to life and people. Above all, I love a woman who I can love ( is lovable) and will be a loving mother to our children.
Find these terminologies in your dictionary guys
  • desire
  • receptive
  • woes
  • lovable
  • religious

Here, there is  a conversation between two men that are talking about their 'ideal woman'. Listen the voice two times and then, please do the exercise.... : D

the example of descriptive text #2

The Ideal Woman

Ed: Hey Rocky! You've been sitting around all night. Get out and dance with someone like that woman over there.

Rocky: No way! She looks like the intellectual type.

Ed: Oh come on man! What kind of woman do you like?

Rocky: I want a woman who's affectionate and fulfills my every need, and that woman over there is just not the right type.

Ed: Hey. Where have you been? Times are changing, and you're never going to find a woman who will shine your shoes and pick up after you all the time. Wake up.

Rocky: Oh really? I meet a lot of women like that, but not at this party. [Oh.] I also prefer a woman who'll stay home, cook, clean, and watch the kids.

Ed: Okay, but what are your household responsibilities once you get home from work?

Rocky: Hmm. Eat, watch TV, and throw out the garbage.

Ed: Wait, wait, wait. I can't believe I'm hearing this. In fact, you're never going to get married. I recently read a news report that said 40 percent of women don't think their husbands do their share around the house, and you seem to be that type.

Rocky: Well, that's the way I am, but what's YOUR idea of the perfect woman?

Ed: Well, I like a woman who's outgoing, caring, and non-judgmental about people's differences, and it bothers me when people think their the center of the universe . . . like someone I know.

Rocky: Well, that's nice for you, but that doesn't change my point of view. I guess I'll have to go home to a TV dinner and my dog, Rusty.

Ed: Hey, and if I stick with you, this is going to be a long, lonely night. Say hello to Rusty for me.

The example of descriptive text

Giraffe

One of the most interesting animals in the zoo is the giraffe. This is the giraffe we saw at the zoo. It is male and it is about six meters tall.

The giraffe has big brown eyes. They are protected by very thick lashes. This giraffe has brown spots on the skin. This coloring helps protect the giraffe. It is also has two short horns on its head.
Like a camel, it can go for a long time without drinking water. One source of water is the leaves which it eats from trees. It is tall, so the giraffe can reach the tender leaves at the top of a tree.

The giraffe has two methods of self protection. If something frightens an adult giraffe, it can gallop away at about fifty kilometers per hour or stay to fight with its strong legs.
